You can either book the course online and pay directly, or you can come to the ski school office. In order to shorten the waiting time, you have the option of registering in advance online or on a PC in the office ("Check-In"). At the counter we will then print your ticket you have to show your ski instructor.

The most important data is noted on the ticket, such as the date, duration of the ski course, course times, hotel accommodation and mobile phone number (for emergencies). The blue ticket is your course confirmation, please give the red ticket to the ski instructor.
According to the ticket printout, the booked days are to be consumed without exception on the consecutive days, which means a 3-day ski course, for example, from Sunday to Tuesday, from Monday to Wednesday, etc.

Yes, because that's how the ski instructor knows that you're registered.

Private courses do not require a ticket. These are either agreed in advance by e-mail or booked directly with us in the ski school office.

Yes, you can. Private lessons and our specials, e.g. lessons for handicapped people can only be booked in advance by email or at our local ski school office. Of course, we are always available by e-mail for all questions about our courses. Our group courses for all adult beginners start on Sunday and Monday. If you arrive during the week, we also have other options depending on the season, so please contact us in any case and we will find a suitable solution for you!

Yes, that is possible. Our course times are from Sunday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Adult beginners meet on Sunday or Monday at 9:45 a.m. at the meeting point in front of our ski school office.

No, adult beginners do not need a lift ticket on the first day. They gather their first experiences in the valley on our ascent tapes. The ski instructor will inform you when a lift ticket is required.

Advanced skiers meet at our meeting point on top at the mountain station at the red gondola. On the first day, you need to be there by 9:30 a.m. so that you can be assigned to the correct group. In the next few days, the meeting point is at 9:45 a.m., the course begins at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 1:00 p.m. at our meeting point.

This depends on the skill of the skier and will be announced when the booking is completed.

Basically, someone who has skied before is no longer a ‘beginner’. However, it always depends on your own assessment and how well you drove beforehand. For example, have you used to ski the blue and red slopes safely? Then you will quickly connect to your old skills, because the body never forgets a movement sequence once it has been learned. (For this reason it is also very advantageous if you learn to ski as a child.) In any case, come to our ski school office and we will find the right course for you!

More information on our cancellation policies

Our beginners from the age of 5 start only on Sunday and Monday at 10:00 a.m. Meeting point is at 9:45 a.m. in front of the children's area down in the valley in Gaschurn at the Versettla Gondola at the red arch. The course times are from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Our beginner groups only start on Sunday or Monday. From Tuesday it is only possible after clarification with the office.

Ski boots, skis, helmet, gloves, sunglasses, sun protection and ski clothing. Please no lift tickets and no ski poles!

No, you do not need a lift ticket on the first day. The children gather their first experiences in our children's area in the valley, which is snow-sure. The ski instructor will inform you when a lift ticket is required.

Please hand the child over to the ski instructor in the morning and then remove yourself from the child's sight. Many children find it difficult to concentrate when their parents are watching. And an separation anxiety is forgotten more quickly when the parents are no longer there. The entrance to our children's area, the red arch, practically marks the ‘no-go zone’ for all parents. We deliberately collect the children in front of the children's area, where they are handed over to the ski instructor. She/he then takes them into the compound to the treadmills, our ‘flying carpets’. Your child will appreciate your help getting in, but please don't forget to get out ;D.

We are professionals and have a lot of experience with children of all ages. Skiing is not easy for beginners and the first steps are difficult for the little ones. – A ski boot weighs a lot, a ski even more and then heavy clothing and a helmet! Maybe the children's area seems chaotic to you as an outsider, so please contact us and we'll be happy to explain everything to you!

Lunchtime care is independent of the ski course and can be arranged directly with the ski instructor every day. If you want, he can take your child with him between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. The care with a delicious lunch costs 12.00 euros per day. Please give this directly to the ski instructor.

Down in the valley, the children eat in our kindergarten. On top of the mountain we have our own room in the ‘Nova Stoba’ restaurant.

Our children's courses start on Sunday and Monday and we meet at 9:15 or 9:30 a.m. depending on the season on the left side of the Valülla lift at the valley station of the Versettla Bahn. There is a short stretch marked out from us and each child has to drive the best bows they can. Based on their ability, they are then divided into the group and assigned a ski instructor. Once the ski instructor is assigned, you can discuss everything else directly with him/her (e.g. where the child will be skiing, where the meeting point will be to be picked up, etc.). In the high season there are a lot of children and that might seem disorganized, but believe us, we have everything under control! This classification serves as a first orientation, i.e. the fine tuning is then done by the ski instructors on the mountain.

Until Thursday, children who can already ski can be registered in existing groups and start according to their level. The classification takes place every day on the left side of the Valülla lift at the valley station of the Versettla Bahn. You will find out the exact time in the ski school office.

Advanced skiers meet on the left side of the Valülla lift at the valley station of the Versettla Bahn. Depending on the season, you should be there either at 9:15 a.m. or 9:30 a.m. on the day of assignment, and on the following ski days either at 9:30 a.m. or 9:20 a.m. (the ski instructor will know more about this!). Advanced children definitely need a lift ticket (depending on their age). You can get all the information about the ski ticket at Bergbahnen Silvretta Montafon.

We meet in the valley because the ski instructor can take the children to the ski area via a separate entrance to the gondola. This avoids unnecessary waiting times on the mountain.

Meeting point for all advanced children who ski on the mountain is the red gondola opposite the ‘Nova Stoba’ restaurant. This is the meeting point on top of the mountain e.g. for the lunch break and the end of the ski course. It is possible for the ski instructor to take the child back down to the valley after the ski course. However, this must be clearly agreed with the ski instructor in the morning. Meeting point for the beginners is in front of the children's area in the valley at the snowman. Meeting point for children who use the Valülla lift in the valley is at this tow lift.

Some children are already physically and conditionally ready at this age to do sports and learn new movement sequences, while others need a little more time. We are happy to take the child on the Bambini ski course if they can walk with their ski boots and have a basic interest. If the Bambini ski course is too stressful, we will be happy to take your child to our kindergarten so that you can enjoy the day on the slopes!

For children between 3 and 5 years we offer the Bambini ski course. It begins at 9:30 a.m. and lasts until 12:00 p.m. The aim of this course is to get the child used to skis and – if possible – to learn how to use the plow and how to brake safely. However, the game and the fun are in the foreground. Some children are physically more advanced than others at this age, which is why it is possible to switch to the normal children's ski course with a pure course time of 4 hours per day at any time. However, as a ski school, it is important to us not to overwhelm the children, but to slowly introduce them to skiing.

Meeting point for the Bambini ski course is at 9:20 a.m. in front of the children's area.

Definitely! Our group courses start on Sunday and Monday. If you arrive during the week, we also have other options depending on the season, so please contact us in any case and we will find a solution!

No, if it has ever stood on skis, mastered safe braking and bows, then it is no longer a ‘beginner’. In this case it is an advanced skier and will be organized from us into the advanced skiers groups. Every child has to ski and will be classified at the beginning of the course. Then we will see whether it can already drive up the mountain, for example, or whether it have to do another lap in the valley to regain security and build up stability.

The children's groups are divided by us according to ability and size. Children from the age of 12 still have a good chance of attending a regular group course among like-minded people, especially in the high season. In the off-season, we tend to split them up among the adults, so the focus is entirely on technique and skiing. An alternative is definitely our snowboard courses, which are a great joy for children of that age.

To the Q & As for snowboarders

We strive to carry out all ski courses. However, we are dependent on the weather, the slope conditions and the lift company. In the event of imminent danger, we collect the groups of children who are skiing up the mountain in our children's room in the ‘Nova Stoba’ restaurant. There they are supervised and cared for by the ski instructors until the situation has calmed down again. You can rest assured that your child is safe and in good hands with us at all times! The ski course always ends at the agreed meeting point. If you have any questions in such situations, please contact our ski school office directly (Tel. +43 5558 8211) or talk to one of our ski instructors!

Children who ski in the valley are less affected by the unpredictable weather on the mountain. This means that our ski course also takes place in heavy snowfall or rain.

When there is fresh snow, it would be good if you wax your kids' skis before you bring them to us, because the fresh snow sticks to the skis so that they no longer ski.

All our snowboard students meet from Sunday to Friday at 9:45 a.m. at the mountain station on the left side at our ‘Snowboard Center’. Every snowboard student also needs a lift pass!

Depending on availability, equipment can be rented from the snowboard center. However, please contact us beforehand and send us an email: info@skischule-gaschurnpartenen.at.

Yes, every snowboard student also needs a lift pass, because the courses take place at the mountain station. Snowboarders usually make very fast progress, which is why the lifts in the ski area are conquered relatively quickly.

No, unfortunately this is not possible. Our beginner courses start every Sunday and Monday at 10:00 a.m. But please get in touch with us, because snowboarding groups often form and regroup during the week. That's why it's quite possible that a group will start in your holiday week! In any case, we will find a solution if you want to learn snowboarding with us!

Yes, that is possible. Our course times are from Sunday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This is definitely a worthwhile consideration, especially at the beginning ... However, they also say ‘no pain, no gain’ ;D
